Montreal police have arrested a 32-year-old man who they say stabbed another man to death at Guy-Concordia Metro station on Saturday night.
Officers arrested the man in Montreal North on Tuesday evening.
He will appear later on Wednesday at the Montreal courthouse to face a second-degree murder charge, Montreal police said in a media release.
Police say the victim and the suspect knew each other.
The incident occurred at around 11:20 p.m. Saturday on the platform at Guy-Concordia Metro station.
When they arrived on the scene, officers found the 37-year-old victim suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to the hospital but was declared dead.
His death marks the 29th homicide on Montreal police’s territory this year.
