Global Draft: Alouettes select Sam Clark and Nouredin Nouili

Montreal, April 30, 2024 – The Montreal Alouettes selected punter Sam Clark in the first round (9th overall) and Nouredin Nouili, an offensive lineman, with their second pick (18th overall) in the CFL Global Draft on Tuesday.

Clark (6’3”, 198 lbs.) played 11 games with the James Madison Dukes in 2022. In 49 punts, he cumulated 2,122 yards. The Lilyfield, Australia native began his career with the Sacramento State Hornets, where the 27-year-old played two seasons, amassing 4,016 yards on 96 punts. In 2021, he was named to the All-Big Sky Third Team.

Nouili (6’4”, 315 lbs.) spent four years with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. In 2021, 2022, and 2023, he earned Academic All-Big Ten Conference honors.

In his final year, the Frankfurt, Germany native started 11 games, helping his team finish second in the All-Big Ten Conference in rushing yards. The 23-year-old began his college career at Colorado State University.
