Two men were sent to hospital after a shooting in Montreal’s Lachine borough on Sunday night.
Montreal police (SPVM) responded to gunfire at around 11:20 p.m. on 42e Ave. near Saint-Joseph Blvd.
Two men, aged 28 and 33, were found conscious at the scene — with injuries to their upper body.
“When police arrived on the scene, they located two victims,” said Caroline Chèvrefils, a SPVM spokesperson. “One inside a vehicle and one outside.”
The victims — who know each other and have no criminal record — were transported to hospital, and police say their life is not in danger.
According to Chèvrefils, one or more suspects fired at the victims then fled the scene in a vehicle.
No arrests have been made, and officers spoke to witnesses.
An investigation is ongoing.
