A 25-year-old man was stabbed in Montreal’s Rosemont-La-Petite-Patrie borough early Tuesday morning.
Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at around 5 a.m. about the incident on Beaubien Street and 29th Ave.
When officers arrived on the scene, they located the victim in front of a depanneur. He was conscious, but had sustained an upper body injury.
He was taken to hospital and authorities say his life is not in danger.
SPVM believe that a conflict degenerated between the victim and the suspect.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
A security perimeter has been set up in the area as investigators continue to canvass the scene.
There have been no arrests so far.
