Montreal police are investigating a homicide in the Plateau neighbourhood.
At about 5 a.m. Sunday, police received a 911 call about a man who was unconscious in an alley near Parc and Mount Royal avenues
Const. Jean-Pierre Brabant of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) says the man was 33 years old.
After officers performed CPR on the man, they declared him dead at the scene.
Police have labelled the death as a homicide after seeing marks of violence on the man’s body.
Investigators are trying to find witnesses and checking surveillance video in the area.
