25-year-old woman killed in collision in Vaudreuil-Dorion: SQ

A 25-year-old driver was killed Saturday morning in a collision on Route 338 in Vaudreuil-Dorion, according to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

The woman was driving north around 9 a.m. when she may have tried to overtake a vehicle by going into the opposite lane, suggested SQ spokesperson Nicolas Scholtus.

She allegedly collided with a vehicle going south. The 45-year-old driver of that vehicle was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The 25-year-old woman was taken to hospital in critical condition, where she was later pronounced dead.

A collision investigator was dispatched to the scene to determine the causes and circumstances of the incident.
