Laval police (SPL) have arrested two men in connection with five suspected cases of arson within the past year.
According to a press release, several businesses and residences suffered arson attacks, including three restaurants and a private residence.

“The significant damage amounted to more than $2,000,000. In the majority of cases, the way of operating was essentially the same,” the police noted.
Alexandru Noris Badescu, 19, and Riccardo Hans-Douyon, 22, are facing charges of conspiracy to commit arson, arson, and possession of incendiary materials.

They are expected to remain in custody until their next court appearance at the Laval courthouse on May 30.
