An 18-year-old Montérégie man faces multiple charges after Quebec provincial police arrested him in connection with sexual crimes against minors.

Leonardo Frederico Sejuro Navarro, who is from St-Amable, appeared at the Sorel-Tracy courthouse on Thursday to face charges, including sexual assault, sexual contact and extortion, the Sûreté du Québec said.

The crimes are alleged to have occurred between June 2023 and April 2024 in St-Amable, Boucherville, Montreal and Terrebonne.

Victims were contacted via social networks by someone using various pseudonyms, including “leo sejuro,” “leonardo sejuro,” “leonsn000,” and “snleo450,” the police force said.

The SQ said there may be other victims in the Montérégie region and other parts of Quebec.

Longueuil police and the Régie intermunicipale de police Richelieu St-Laurent also worked on the case.
