Montreal police say they are investigating the suspicious death of a 38-year-old woman found in a home in the city’s Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough Sunday evening.

Police received a 911 call shortly before 5:30 p.m. about an incident at a home on Bourbonnière Avenue, near Laurier Avenue.

At the scene, police say they found the woman dead on the floor with marks of violence on her body. 

A man who was in the home when police arrived is being questioned by investigators.

A security perimeter was set up to allow investigators and forensic technicians to analyze the scene.
