As the heat wave continues, Montrealers should find a place to stay cool until the temperatures drop.
Environment Canada issued a heat warning earlier this week.
“Maximum temperatures between 28 and 35 C are expected, followed by overnight lows above 20,” reads the weather statement. “The heat and humidity will begin to ease on Friday.”
On Wednesday, it will be sunny skies with a high of 34, and the humidex feeling like 44 – with a UV index of 10 or very high. A low of 26 degrees tonight.
Similar weather continues Thursday, with more sunshine in the morning, a high of 32 and humidity levels making it feel more like 41. There’s potential for rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon. A low of 20 in the evening hours, with showers possible as well.
On Friday, a high of 27 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds – low of 17.
According to the weather agency, wet weather is in the forecast for the St-Jean long weekend and more seasonal temperatures.
With highs of 24 on Saturday and 22 on Sunday.
On the holiday Monday, a 70 per cent chance of showers, a high of 24 and a low of 17 degrees.
Full sunshine returns on Tuesday with a hotter 31 degrees.
