An 83-year-old man who disappeared three days ago after leaving his home in Laval has been found dead, police said Thursday afternoon.
Nicholas Bazigos was last seen in Chomedey on June 17. The public appeal for help in finding him mentioned he suffered from health problems and had difficulty walking.
In a statement issued at 12:30 p.m., police provided no immediate details on the circumstances leading to the discovery of his body but gave no indication his death was the result of any criminal activity.
Police had deployed a command post, a search boat and and canine unit in their search for Nicholas Bazigos.
