Multi-vehicle crash on Turcot Interchange leaves person in critical condition

Quebec provincial police are investigating a multi-vehicle collision and possible hit-and-run on the Turcot Interchange, in Montreal, Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called around 6 a.m. to Highway 15 southbound at the ramp connecting to Highway 136 eastbound.

At least one person is fighting for their life, said Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Adam Marineau.

One of the vehicles involved in the incident may have fled the scene, he said. 

The SQ’s major crimes unit has taken over the investigation.

The ramp connecting to Highway 136 eastbound is closed for an indeterminate period.
