Quebec’s Transport Ministry warns of a weekend road closure on Highway 40 in Kirkland

Quebec’s Transport Ministry is warning drivers about an upcoming closure in Kirkland over the weekend.

The exit ramp at Saint-Charles Boulevard of Highway 40 East in Kirkland will be closed during the weekend of July 19 to 22.

They say the closure is necessary to do reconstruction work.

The exit ramp will be closed starting Friday, at 11:30 p.m. and remain closed until Monday 5 a.m.

Drivers can take the following detours:

  • Highway 40 (Metropolitan) East, Saint-Jean Boulevard and the Highway 40 West service road.
  • An alternative path via Chemin Sainte-Marie.

Drivers are advised to consult Québec 511 as work may be postponed due to bad weather conditions or operational constraints.
