Two young women were taken to hospital in critical condition Tuesday afternoon after a collision between an electric scooter and a vehicle in Senneville.

By the evening, their conditions were considered stable, Montreal police said.

According to preliminary information, the women, ages 19 and 20, were travelling east on the scooter on Senneville Rd. when they collided with a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.

Montreal police received a 911 call reporting the accident just before 5 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 30s, was uninjured and remained on scene to provide assistance, SPVM spokesperson Sabrina Gauthier said.

A perimeter was set up on Senneville Rd. and investigators from the SPVM’s collision investigations section visited the scene to establish the circumstances surrounding the accident.
