A five-year-old boy lost his life Thursday night after being found unconscious in the pool of a private residence in Beauharnois, near Châteauguay.
Around 8:30 p.m. emergency services were called to a residence on Charlebois Street in Beauharnois, where the child had just been found unconscious at the bottom of a swimming pool.
Paramedics tried to resuscitate him and transported him to the hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police in Châteauguay and the Quebec coroner’s office are investigating
