Montrealers catch break from the heat, will it last?

After scorching weather in Montreal — with a heat warning and humidex values reaching nearly 40 degrees over the last week– the mercury has finally dropped on Monday.

But will the “cooler” weather last?

According to Environment Canada, showers with a high of 23 degrees are set to start the work week – and the first day back for many Quebecers who were off during the construction holiday.

It will feel more like 26 degrees with the humidex.

Come Tuesday, a mix of sun and cloud in the forecast.

The weather agency announcing fog patches dissipating in the morning — with a high of 23 degrees.

Temperatures climbing mid-week — with sunny skies and a high of 25 degrees.

A mix of sun and cloud on Thursday — high of 26 degrees forecasted.

To start the weekend, a high of 28 on Friday — but those clouds are set to remain and continue with 60 per cent chance of showers for Saturday and Sunday.
