A man was killed and a woman was injured during an armed attack in an apartment in Quebec City’s Limoilou borough early Tuesday morning.
Police responded to a 911 call at a residence on Eugène-Lamontagne Avenue at around 12:55 a.m.
Inside, they found a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s with serious injuries. They were both transported to a hospital, where the man was pronounced dead.
The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries, Quebec City police say.
A suspect, a man in his 30s, was arrested at the scene and will be met by police.
Investigators with the force’s major crimes unit and forensic technicians are analyzing the scene.
A security perimeter has been set up in the area and the street will be closed for part of the day.
