Longueuil police (SPAL) are advising the public to avoid Saint-Charles Street, near Roland-Therrien Blvd. in the Vieux-Longueuil area due to an ongoing operation Thursday.
According to SPAL spokesperson François Boucher, an individual is making threatening comments and behaving threateningly.
The individual in question is said to be a man in his 40s.
A tactical squad is onsite.
A security perimeter has been setup and traffic restrictions will remain in place for an indefinite period.
