A man has died after he was shot in Verdun last week – making this the 22nd homicide of the year in Montreal.

The 31-year-old victim was shot in the upper body on July 30 at around 3:30 p.m., while driving on Champlain Blvd., near Stephens Street.

According to police (SPVM), investigators from the Major Crimes Unit have taken over the case.
