REM

The Réseau express métropolitain will close early and start late this weekend as it begins the process of harmonizing its control systems between the active Brossard branch and the branches currently under construction. To perform necessary tests, service will be interrupted Friday at 11 p.m. toward Central Station and 11:20 p.m. toward Brossard, and resume Saturday at 8:45 a.m. The same will happen again on Aug. 30. The changes are expected to shorten the time to completely restart operating systems to 20 minutes from more than an hour.
