Why 112 baby snapping turtles are getting released at a Quebec provincial park

Oka provincial park and the Aquarium du Québec teamed up on a conservation project to help the baby turtles have the best chance of survival. Turtle eggs from some nests in Oka were transported to the aquarium to protect them from predators. Then they were released into the waters of the provincial park.
