Farther north, only one lane will be open in each direction at all times between Henri-Bourassa Blvd. and Highway 440 in Laval, including the Olivier-Charbonneau bridge, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The entrances to the southbound highway from Highway 440 and Route 125 will be closed.

Highway 30

In Beauharnois, two of three lanes will be closed eastbound on Madeleine-Parent Bridge, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

In Châteauguay, one of two lanes will be closed westbound on the bridge over the Châteauguay River, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Highway 40

In Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, the eastbound Exit 41 for Anciens-Combattants Blvd. will be closed from 11:59 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Tuesday for drainage work related to the building of the new Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge. Detour is via Morgan Blvd. and Ste-Marie Rd.

REM

The Réseau express métropolitain will close early and start late this weekend as it begins the process of harmonizing its control systems between the active Brossard branch and the branches under construction. To perform necessary tests, service will end Friday at 11 p.m. toward Central Station and 11:20 p.m. toward Brossard, and resume Saturday at 8:45 a.m. The changes are expected to shorten the time to completely restart operating systems to 20 minutes from more than an hour.

Ongoing disruptions

  • Highway 10: The ramp from the Bonaventure Expressway toward the Champlain Bridge is closed until the beginning of September. Traffic is detoured via Gaétan-Laberge Blvd. Access to Nuns’ Island is maintained during this work. The access to Highway 10 west from Nuns’ Island is closed until the end of November.
  • Highway 15: In Ahuntsic-Cartierville, the de Salaberry St. exit from southbound Highway 15 is closed until 11:59 p.m. Saturday. In Candiac, the ramps from Highway 15 north to Highway 930 west and from 15 south to 930 east are closed until December, and lanes are narrowed on both highways through the interchange.
  • Highway 20: In Dorval, the ramp from Sources Blvd. south to Highway 20 East is closed until Sept. 21. The pedestrian overpass is closed until the beginning of October.
  • Highway 25: Half of the Louis-Hippolyte Lafontaine Tunnel is closed as part of a long-term renovation project, with traffic sharing the remaining tunnel — one lane toward the South Shore and two lanes toward Montreal.
  • Highway 30: In Beauharnois, eastbound traffic will run counterflow overnights during weekends on and around the Madeleine-Parent Bridge until the end of the year.
  • Highway 40: The Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge is down to three lanes — one in each direction, and one lane that switches directions on weekdays. During weekends, the extra lane is for traffic to Vaudreuil-Dorion. Work to replace the concrete slabs on the Metropolitan Expressway continues until fall. This will require completely closing the highway overnights and service roads on nights and weekends, particularly around the Décarie Interchange.
  • Route 117: In St-Laurent, two northbound lanes and one southbound lane are closed on Marcel-Laurin Blvd. between the Décarie Interchange and St-Louis St., for work by the city of Montreal until the end of the year.
  • Route 136: The Guy St. exit eastbound is closed until Oct. 25.
  • Route 338: In Vaudreuil-Dorion, Route de Lotbinière is closed between Chicoine St. and St-Jean-Baptiste Ave. for water and sewer infrastructure work until the end of November.
  • Highway 440: In Laval, asphalt work is being done on the eastbound service road between Highway 13 and Industriel Blvd., overnight between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., affecting entrances and exits, until the winter.
  • Highway 520: The highway is closed in both directions at Hickmore St., with traffic detoured via the service roads, until Oct. 25. Lanes are closed at 43rd Ave. until December.
  • St-Laurent Blvd.: The overpass above the Ville-Marie Expressway is closed for major work until the end of September.
  • St-Antoine St.: In the Sud-Ouest, the street is closed between du Couvent St. and Rose-de-Lima St., and traffic is reversed to go eastbound between Rose-de-Lima and Atwater Ave.
