Kahnawake Survival School put on lockdown, threat made by student

Kahnawake Survival School (KSS), a high school south of the island of Montreal was put lockdown for apparent safety concerns.

According to reports from DOJO, an application that helps teachers communicate with parents, at approximately 10:20 a.m. the school held a lockdown procedure in response to a verbal threat made by a KSS student.

The Kahnawake Peacekeepers were called in to assess the scene, where the student who made the treat was located and detained in a secure area.

According to the report, a thorough search was conducted where it was determined that no on-going danger or threat was present.

No injuries were reported and students were released for early dismissal at 11:37 am.
