Presidents Cup round 3: Delayed by morning fog at Royal Montreal

Players teed off early Saturday morning as day three of the 2024 Presidents Cup is in full swing, but after the first two groups played the first hole, PGA Tour officials suspended play due to heavy fog.

At the time of the suspension, around 7:23 a.m., the left fairway bunker was completely obscured by fog at Royal Montreal’s first hole.

Play resumed 1h 36 minutes later — around 9 a.m.

The Presidents Cup happens every two years.

The four-day event is comprised of 30 total matches — with a 12-person U.S. Team and 12-person International Team.

This year, three Canadians are on the International team, the most ever at a single Presidents Cup.

Plus, Canadian golf icon Mike Weir is the captain of this team.

The last and only win from the International team was back in 1998 — they tied in 2003.

The tournament continues until Sunday.
