2 drivers hospitalized after Quebec provincial police car hits lamppost in Lévis, Que

The driver of a city bus and the driver of a provincial police car were both transported to hospital after an accident in Lévis, Que.

Two people were transported to hospital after an accident involving a Quebec provincial police vehicle and a city bus in Lévis, Que.

Lévis police received a call just after 7:00 a.m. Friday morning to respond to injuries at the intersection of Étienne-Dallaire Boulevard and Weyman Street.

A provincial police vehicle hit a lamppost that then fell onto a city bus, according to Véronique Blouin, spokesperson for the local police service. 

She says there were no passengers other than the driver in the bus at the time.

Both the driver of the city bus and the driver of the provincial police car are in hospital and their condition is unknown.

Blouin says police have set up a perimeter around the accident and investigators will be on the scene shortly.
