A two-year-old boy is in hospital in critical condition after being found unconscious in a pool at a home in Île-Bizard.
According to Montreal police, a 911 calll was placed around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, regarding an accident that occurred inside a residence on des Cageaux Place near the corner of Bord-du-Lac Road.
When police arrived, the child had already been pulled out of the pool and was being attended to by firefighters, said Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
He was transported to hospital and his life is in danger, according to police.
Police set up a perimeter around the home to allow investigators to analyze and get a better sense of what happened.
