Canada fell to France 82-73 in Olympic men’s basketball quarterfinal action on Tuesday.
The Canadian team, perfect in the group stage, was hoping to win a medal in the sport for the first time since earning silver in 1936.
Earlier on Tuesday, world champion Germany topped Greece 76-63 and Serbia edged Australia 95-90 in overtime.
The U.S. faces Brazil later.
