Multiple injuries, at least 2 vehicles catch fire after collisions in Laval, Que.

A series of collisions in Laval, Que., have left multiple with injuries and caused two vehicles to catch fire, according to local police.

Multiple people suffered injuries during a series of collisions in Laval, Que., that involved at least four vehicles, with two of them catching fire.

At around 2 p.m., a semi-trailer collided head-on with a car while travelling on Route 335 near St-Saëns Street E. in the city’s Auteuil district, according to Laval police. 

Police say that collision then led to at least two other vehicles being hit.

Two vehicles, one of them the 53-foot truck, caught fire.

As of 3 p.m., emergency crews were still on scene. A stretch of Route 335 is closed in both directions and police are asking drivers to avoid that area.
