Quebec provincial police are investigating after a driver in his 50s died in a collision on Route 275 in Frampton, Que., Friday.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) received a 911 call around 5:15 p.m. Friday, reporting the crash.

SQ spokesperson Ève Brochu-Joubert said the motorist was travelling northbound before he deviated from his lane and hit a vehicle coming in the opposite direction.

The driver, who did not have passengers, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The other motorist, a man in his 20s who was alone on board, suffered severe but non-life-threatening injuries.
