The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) says the local police service was called to an apartment on Toulouse Street in Candiac just before noon, where officers found the body of a woman in her 20s.

Quebec provincial police say the suspicious death of a woman whose body was found in an apartment on Montreal’s South Shore Tuesday is now being treated as a homicide.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) says the local police service was called to an apartment on Toulouse Street in Candiac just before noon, where officers found the body of a woman in her 20s.
The case was later transferred to the SQ.
Radio-Canada says police are now questioning someone who is being referred to as a person of interest.
Officials are not confirming any relation between the victim and this person.
An autopsy will be performed to confirm the cause of death, but early reports indicate marks of violence on the woman’s body.
