Watch Maggie Mac Neil try to defend her women’s 100m butterfly Olympic title

Maggie Mac Neil of London, Ont., will defend her women’s 100m butterfly Olympic title at 2:40 p.m. ET on Sunday.

On Saturday, the 24-year-old tied for the fourth-fastest time in the semifinals.

Two other Canadians are swimming for a place in a final on Sunday.

Saskatoon’s Blake Tierney will compete in the men’s 100m backstroke semifinals at 3:44 p.m. ET, whereas Mary-Sophie Harvey will swim for the chance to make the women’s 200m freestyle final at 3:50 p.m. ET.

Earlier on Sunday, the 24-year-old Harvey won her heat and posted the second-best time overall.
