A 27-year-old man was shot and killed in Montreal’s Ahuntsic-Cartierville on Tuesday night.
Around 8:20 p.m., a call to 911 came in regarding a man who was lying on the ground on Parc Avenue, near Legendre Street.
Shortly before this, gunshots had been heard in the area.
When emergency services arrived, they tried to resuscitate the man on the scene. He was transported to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Suspects reportedly fled in a vehicle before the police arrived.
No arrests have been made so far.
A security perimeter was set up in the area and was still in place overnight into Wednesday.
The man’s death is the 11th homicide on the Montreal police territory this year.
