About 10 vehicles set on fire in Montreal’s Saint-Laurent borough

Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating after a fire destroyed about 10 vehicles in Montreal’s Saint-Laurent borough overnight.

Around 3:45 a.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a call reporting several vehicles on fire in the parking lot of a business on Chemin Saint-François and Donahue Street.

Police were called to the scene due to the suspicious nature of the fire. The investigation was transferred to the SPVM.

“For the moment, no evidence show that this is a criminal event,” said SPVM spokesperson Antony Dorelas.

An investigation is ongoing, no arrests have been made.
