Cyclist struck by car in TMR upgraded to stable

The cyclist who was hit by a car in the Town of Mont-Royal Friday evening has stabilized in hospital, police say.

The accident occurred around 7 p.m. near the intersection of Lombard Crescent and Portland Avenue.

The cyclist, a 52-year-old woman, was on the ground and “semi-conscious” when police arrived, said SPVM spokesperson Véronique Dubuc. The victim had serious head injuries and was in critical condition when taken to hospital.

According to witnesses, the cyclist lost control of her bicycle and collided with a car travelling on Lombard Crescent.
