Heat wave headed for Montreal

Hot weather is on the way for Montreal – a heat wave next week, with a warm air mass moving in that’ll affect most of the province.

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement on Friday explaining that temperatures will rise above 30 degrees as of Tuesday. And with the humidex, it’ll feel 40 in the afternoon.

They predict that the heat wave will last until Thursday night.

With temperatures feeling like 45 on Wednesday and 43 on Thursday – when there’s a risk of a thunderstorm.

“Watch out for heat-related impacts such as heat exhaustion and/or heat stroke,” reads the weather statement. “Remember to drink plenty of water.”
