The Old Port of Montreal is one of the 600 locations across Canada hosting the 44th edition of the Terry Fox Run to raise money for cancer research.
Almost a quarter million Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer in 2024 with Prostate, breast and lung cancer among the most common.
Montrealer Eddy Nolan died in April, thirteen years after being diagnosed with throat and neck cancer.
He took part in the very first Terry Fox run in 1981 and had participated every year since.
CityNews spoke with his widow, Mary, who was in the Old Port for the event.
