The family of Zachary Laferte-Landry, the 18-year-old fatally struck by a Montreal public bus last week, gathered for the unveiling of a “ghost shoe” memorial on Saturday.
Laferte-Landry was struck in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough — on Saint-Denis Street near Rigaud Street — on the afternoon of Oct. 8.
The young hockey player had recently moved to Montreal from the Magdalen Islands to start school at Cégep du Vieux Montréal.
