Downtown Montreal’s sky was painted green, white and red – the colour of Italy’s flag – on Tuesday afternoon, as the Frecce Tricolori, the aerobatic demonstration team of the Italian Air Force, flew over the city.
At around 4 p.m., around nine jets made their way across the city’s skyline twice, as part of an event from the Italian consulate on Mount Royal.
Consul General Enrico Pavone was part of those taking in the colourful demonstration at the mountain’s lookout, as some Montrealers watched from their rooftops.
