Major fire ravages condo building in Bois-des-Filion

A fire broke out in a condo building in Bois-des-Filion on Thursday night.

Firefighters from Sainte-Thérèse and nearly 10 other North Shore municipalities were called to extinguish the flames at 661 Adolphe-Chapleau Blvd. – and residents needed to be evacuated.

“Your firefighter department and several North Shore services have been fighting a major fire since 8:15 p.m. on Adolphe-Chapleau Blvd. in Bois-des-Filion in a condominium building,” wrote the Sainte-Thérèse station on their Facebook page.

The roof of the building completely collapsed.

A firefighter was reportedly injured, but all residents were safe.
