Man assaulted with blunt object in Montreal’s Village

A 22-year-old man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being attacked with a blunt object in Montreal’s Village Thursday night.

Police say that a 911 call was made at 8:45 p.m. about a man assaulted on Ste. Catherine Street East near Saint-Christophe Street.

When police officers arrived on the scene, they found the young man suffering from upper body injuries.

According to police, the victim was involved in a fight and was hit with a blunt object.

He was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

No arrests have been made so far.
