A man is dead after being shot in a parking lot outiside a gym in Laval early on Thursday morning.
The 29-year-old man was reportedly killed in his car parked near the service road of Highway 440 and Curé-Labelle Boulevard.
The case was transferred to the Sûreté du Québe (SQ) after a torched car was located on Camille Street about 10 kilometres awat in the neighbourhood of Ahuntsic-Cartierville.
The victim was reportedly known to police and allegedly a member of a street gang.
A large security perimeter was set up on site and the investigation is still ongoing.
No arrests have been made so far and police say the victim was known to them.
