Montreal country music fans descend on Parc Jean-Drapeau for Lasso

Howdy Montreal!

Saddle up because the Lasso Montreal festival is here and we’re bringing you along for the ride.

“The lineup is just insane. The vibe, all the food and drinks — the ambience is really nice. It’s country, and we always love that,” said one attendee.

The two-day festival featured performances from Canadian and international artists.

“We just passed the main stage, and it’s cool to see,” said singer-songwriter Josh Ross of Waterdown, Ont. “Sorry, the main stages; there’s two massive stages. So just really looking forward to being here today, and Montreal fans are always so good.”

Country music has taken over, with many country fans excited to see their favourite artists perform.

Georgia native Sam Hunt headlined the festival on Saturday.

Lasso also featured a variety of family-friendly activities, like line dancing, and learning how to throw a lasso.

“It’s really a fun time. There’s a lot of people that you can meet and just have fun,” said a festival attendee.
