Montreal listed as third most expensive Grand Prix: Study

The Canadian Grand Prix, a staple in Montreal in the month of June, has been listed as the third most expensive race weekend on the F1 calendar for 2024, when it comes to race tickets and hotel prices.

The study done by betting site TonyBet, looked into the average prices for tickets over the course of the weekend, as hotel costs for a three-night stay at a nearby hotel.

On average F1 fans will spend $4,831 to attend all three days. This comes as general admission tickets can be purchased for as low as $283, and a luxury Paddock Club package which costs $13,900.

As for accommodation, the average cost of a three-night stay near Circuit Jacques Villeneuve costs $4,368 for a tow to three star hotel. That price figure jumps to $6,430 for a four to five star hotel.

Not adding food and other items racegoers might get over the weekend, the average cost for the weekend comes in at $10,213.

The Canadian Grand Prix weekend was beat out by the Las Vegas Grand Prix and the United States Grand Prix.

Las Vegas, which saw its first Grand Prix in 2023, sees an average weekend cost for tickets and hotels coming in at $10,548.

Meanwhile, the United States Grand Prix which races at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) was priced out at $10,243.

While it might cost over $100 for food at the Miami Grand Prix — according to photos posted to social media — the average cost to attend the race weekend shockingly comes in lower than Montreal, and ranks fifth most expensive.

The average cost for Miami is just over $9,500.
