Montreal’s Felix Auger-Aliassime loses to Carlos Alcaraz in fourth round at French Open

Montreal’s Félix Auger-Aliassime was knocked out of the French Open Sunday after losing to Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets (6-3, 6-3, 6-1) in the Round of 16.

ATP’s No. 3 ranked player, Alcaraz will move on to the quarterfinals to take on Stefanos Tsitsipas, who won his fourth-round match against Matteo Arnaldi earlier in the day.

Auger-Aliassime advanced to the fourth round after beating American Ben Shelton on Friday.

The Canadian’s run to the final 16 in Paris comes on the heels of his appearance in the final at the Madrid Open in May, where he dropped the championship match to Andrey Rublev.
