Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating after a business was targeted by gunshots on Wednesday.
The Falafel Yoni restaurant in the Mile End is located on Saint-Viateur Street.
Officers discovered at least three bullet holes in the main windows of the restaurant.
The SPVM suspect the shooting happened overnight, after the owner made the discovery in the morning.
It’s still unclear why the restaurant may have been targeted.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
A sign in the window on Wednesday said the restaurant was closed and will reopen on Thursday, with the message, “stay safe,” and a heart drawn on it.
CityNews reached out to the restaurant, but has yet to hear back.
