A restaurant was the target of a suspicious fire on Thursday in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough in Montreal.
The Fire Department (SIM) received a call around 4 a.m. about the blaze at restaurant Shaker located on Saint-Laurent Blvd., near Milton Street.
The fire was brought under control, but the extent of the damage is unknown.
An incendiary object was reportedly found at the scene, while one of the windows was smashed in.
The file was transferred to the Montreal police arson squad.
