Due to heavy rainfall, there is a significant accumulation of water on certain Montreal roads causing major obstructions on the city’s highway network.

This is the case for Highway 40 in both directions, at Côte-Vertu Blvd.
The ramp from A-40 West to A-13 has also been closed.
The Quebec Ministry of Public Security warned the public that the rain could cause flash floods and water accumulation on roads.
Citizens are encouraged to monitor forecasts issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada and to be extra careful on the roads.
The A-520 westbound is also blocked to traffic on ramp to A-13 North.
Highway 19 North is completely closed between Henri-Bourassa and Gouin boulevards.

On A-15 south, there is a complete closure of the ramp for A-40 East — due to the water accumulation.

The A-13 North ramp for the A-520 in the Liesse tunnel is also closed.

The Metropolitan West ramp for Highway 13 North is also blocked to traffic.

Highway 19 North was completely closed between Henri-Bourassa and Gouin Blvds., it reopened around 8:50 a.m.
The Sûreté du Québec said in a statement on Friday that they are aware of the situation, and are in constant contact with the various partners, including the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité Durable du Québec, on the evolution of road conditions; while ensuring the safety of the people involved.
“We are not currently reporting any major collisions related to the event,” they said.
Adding that they recommend postponing travel, if possible.
“If you have to travel on the road network, we suggest that you adapt your driving and speed according to the weather conditions encountered,” said the Sûreté du Québec in the statement. “We also recommend that you turn on your headlights and parking lights to be more visible to other road users.”
Drivers are encouraged to consult Québec 511 to properly plan their trip.
