The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) intercepted a driver going over 180 km/h and fined him over $2,000.
According to a press release, officers stopped the vehicle Wednesday morning around 1:30 a.m. on Highway 15 near the Edouard-Montpetit overpass in Montreal.
The driver was caught going 183km/h in a 70km/h zone.
The 21-year-old man was issued a $2,051 ticket and lost 24 demerit points.
Also, his licence was suspended for seven days.
