Sunshine for first weekend of construction holiday

Construction workers and Quebecers taking time off for the annual two-week holiday period in July will be able to start their vacation off on the right foot.

The weather forecast for the coming weekend calls for sun and comfortable temperatures without too much humidity.

Sunny weather and 25 degrees expected for Friday throughout Quebec, according to Environment Canada.

A sunny Saturday for most of the province with the mercury rising to 27 degrees in southern Quebec, but the arrival of clouds in the afternoon risks causing a few scattered showers over certain areas.

Sunday, temperatures will drop to below seasonal norms, between 20 and 24 degrees, but sunshine and blue skies remain.

Unlike the last few weeks, there will be less humidity in the air during the weekend, which will allow Quebecers to enjoy a great start on their vacation.

The long-term forecast calling for a mix of sun and cloud, with temps in the mid to high 20s.

Monday, 27 degrees and sunny. A mix of sun and clouds for Tuesday, with a high of 28. Chance of showers Tuesday night.

Wet weather expected to move in for Wednesday and Thursday, with a 60 per cent chance of showers for both days.
