Suspect arrested in connection to Terrebonne murder case, one more at large

One of two suspects wanted in a murder case that occurred this summer in Terrebonne, was arrested last week in Ontario.

The second suspect remains on the run.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) says Emmanuel Mbong Bougha, wanted for the murder of Maxime Jean, was arrested last Friday in Durham, Ontario.

The 24-year-old appeared in court for the first time by videoconference, before being transported to Quebec for further proceedings. His case will return to court on Wednesday in Laval.

The second suspect in this case, Nickolace Denis-Fouché, 22, is still wanted by police.

On July 18, Maxime Jean, who was 22 years old, was seriously injured in a park located on Marcel-De La Sablonnière Street in Terrebonne.

He was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he died five days later.

The SQ is asking anyone who might see Denis-Fouché not to intervene and instead call 911.
